| Report Saturday 21st January. By Matt Cambourne
A good day on shed with much progress in various areas. D7017 was given some attention by Martin Howard. He has tackled the problem of the doors not closing properly due to water ingress in the wood. This job is greatly appreciated by all concerned! D7018 had its jumper cables tested out at the Minehead end. Several broken pins and a couple of bad connections to investigate further. Similar checks will be performed on D7017 in the coming months as we prepare for two Hymeks in multiple as soon as possible! The exhausters have now been wired in too. The pipe work for the exhausters is currently being modified. D832 was started up today and all seems to be going well. D1010 continues to have work on progressed inside the loco. Outside Leroy and Phil were busy re-painting the cooler group fans. The heritage centre continues to be de-constructed ready for moving into two portakabins outside. Graham, Mike and Paul were all busy dismantling the set up. 33057 has had more attention, report on the latest activities to follow. Few pictures to update later this week. |
