Work has been completed at Brush and it is planned that the loco will be moved to Cranmore, East Somerset Railway, during the coming week. Extensive body work repairs and a full repaint will be performed there by Cranmore Traincare and it is expected that the loco will remain there for around two to three months before returning to the WSR.
At Williton, the exhauster overhaul continues and the brush tensioning spring pressures have been set to the specified 2.5 to 3 lb with the aid of a spring balance. Following this, the brush ring has been re-fitted into the motor end plate as can be seen in the picture.
