Update- 14th May

Dick H removed all of the electrical cubicle doors from the loco and has rubbed them down for repainting into "Swanage Sand".  This colour is the same as used outside on the window surrounds and bodyside line.  Evidence suggests that this was also the original colour used for the cab interiors.  Roy has also painted the cab desk doors in this colour.  Inside No.2  cab, Paul B is rubbing down all the exposed metalwork as well as the floor structure and priming it ready for painting.
Tony T-B has been fitting the aluminium angle trim to the first set of new floor panels destined for No.2 cab.  It is intended to get this cab painted with the new floor fitted ready for the MTW in June as the loco should be on display inside the shed.
The set of batteries donated by D1661 has been installed into the batery boxes and the straps will be connected ASAP.
I briefly plugged in the battery charger to use it as a power source and did some basic electrical tests, the Triple Pump fuse being removed so as not to blow up the charger!
The fire alarm and engine start/stop circuits are still operational and further tests will be be performed once the batteries are connected.
