On Sat 10th March there were no less than three Class 47's on the railway!
47854 Came onto the railway light engine around 14:15. It worked to Bishops Lydeard. In the evening it was used to haul the return leg of a railtour back to Birmingham New Street.
47847 and 839 hauled the SRPS rake of coaches onto the line to Bishops Lydeard before working back light engine (s) to Derby.

47840 continues to be used by First Great Western to move coaches/power cars around the network as well as undertaking other duties. Below are a number of pics of the loco out and about taken by Bob. Locations are Dawlish, Exeter, Laira and Norton Fitzwarren.
