Noting the fact that "Onslaught" has just had it's fiftieth anniversary of entering traffic,perhap's you might like to remind everyone that April 1st/2nd will be the thirtieth anniversary of D9526 arriving on the WSR.
I recall that unloading presented the biggest problem as officially there was no road access at Bishops Lydeard, negotiation's resulted in the steel gate's being unlocked for the purpose and the loco was unloaded in what was then a coal yard.
The class 14 was subsequently towed to Williton by 07 D2994 courtesy of the late Mr Archie Parsons.
