Another visit to Cranmore today. The loco is now about three quarters in green undercoat with a finish as smooth as the proverbial babies bottom!
Welding work has now extended to the right hand side of No.1 cab but some work to the lower front and windscreen surrounds remains to be tackled. The bulk of the welding activity is expected to be finished in the next couple of weeks and a move into the CTMS maintenance shed is required to complete the repainting. Installation of glazing and the cab doors is also expected shortly.
I fitted the DSD pedal mechanism into the right hand side box in No.2 cab and removed the instrument panel from No.1 cab to permit repairs to the mounting box.
