Update 7th November

The welding repairs have now reached about halfway around No.1 cab front and the No.2 end has received its first coats of Brunswick Green and Light Cream gloss around the windscreens. So any lingering doubts regarding the eventual livery can now be dispelled! Small yellow warning panels will also be applied.
Despite still aching from removing the DSD box on 33 048 the previous day, I decided to carry on with fitting the refurbished No.2 cab DSD boxes into 57 the following day!
The vinyl strip covering the hardwood section needed to be stuck on first.
I also cut and re-spliced the two cables that had been left over the top of the new floor structure so as they now pass correctly underneath.
The new replica works plates have been delivered and will be fitted at Cranmore during the latter stages of the repaint.
