Update 15th October

The necessary fixings were obtained during the week and with Brad's help all four of the life guards were fitted.
The eight 3/4" BSW fixed studs all needed to be cleaned with a die nut, quite an awkward job working up under the buffer beams.
This means that the loco front ends are now complete below cab level with the exception of the ETH jumpers, but we'll worry about that some other time!
New 110V Pygmy lamps have also been obtained and all of the blown No.1 instrument panel lamps were replaced.  Also found there were two dud bulbs in No.2 panel that I hadn't noticed previously.
A slight air blow from the No.1 Cab FV3 valve was rectified, the large ring on the bottom of the valve had not been fully tightened.
The Exhauster High Speed switch can now be refitted to the valve.
The two top DSD pedals in No.1 cab have been set up so that they now actually close the valves when depressed!
Brad has painted the charge air manifold, unfortunately difficult to get a good picture of the complete thing.
Now if we could only get the loco out of the shed, we might be able to do some test running!
