Update 6th October.

The problem with the No.1 cab FV3 Auto Air Brake Valve has been sorted, and yes, I did miss out out a small but vital rubber washer!
This means that the loco now has a full compliment of brake equipment.
It is hoped that initial test running will commence within the next few weeks and it is intended to temporarily install the drivers seats only in each cab.
They will have to be removed again afterwards to allow fitting of the remaining cab trim.
During previous engine running, just a sufficient ammount of oil was put into the Serck Hydrosatic Fan Drive System to lubricate the equipment but the time is now right to fill it right up.  This is a job that from my experience can not be done quickly or without getting oil everywhere!  Certainly was the case on Saturday but a piece of kit that might help was spotted on Ebay and is on order.
Brad continues his painting of various pipes and structures within the engine room with the result that it is getting more colourful by the week!
