On Saturday I finally managed to complete filling of the Serck tank, oil everwhere as usual!
The four life guards were removed from storage as they will have to be fitted prior to any running.
Brad has cleaned and painted them as can be seen in the picture.
Some 3/4" BSW nuts and bolts will be obtained during the week and hopefully the guards can be fitted next weekend.
The refurbished seat cushions and backs have been fitted to the two drivers seats which have been temporarily installed.
On Sunday, the cab light wiring was completed and tested. The result can be seen in the picture!
The loco now has operational cab and instrument lights albeit that one of the two way switches from No.1 cab is missing as it fell apart!
I have temporarily by-passed it so the cab lights can be controlled from the remaining good switch.
However, all but one of the Pygmy lamps in the No.1 instrument panel were also found to be blown, replacements will be obtained.
