Update 6th September

Paul B visited Cranmore on Thursday 2nd September to deliver the new windscreen panels and took some pictures of the work done this week.
The secondmans side of No.2 cab is basically complete and work is now proceeding along the other side of the loco.
At Williton, the original Triple Pump motor has returned to base, some fire damage is apparent similar to that affecting the No.1 Exhauster.  I managed to strip the motor down and found it to be in generally good condition with just some smoke damage and general grime to be cleaned off together with some cable and brush box refurbishment.  The insulation reading of the armature was over 2 megohms and the stator virtually infinite.  The motor will now be restored as a side project and retained as a spare unit.
Roy has started rubbing down the DSD pedals.  The plan is to restore them at Williton and they will either be re-fitted at Cranmore or once the loco returns to the WSR depending on how things progress.
