The main work continues to be undertaken on D1661 which is having pretty extensive corrosion repairs.
Other loco updates:-
D7018 – Brackets have been manufactured to install the new electronic AVR. Voltage regulation is now
noticeably much more stable during switching of heavy loads and battery charging.
D1010 – Awaiting recovery back to Williton to enable investigation into the transmission failure to
commence at present the loco is still at Bishops Lydeard in the compound as pictured below. It is hoped
to bring the Western back on Saturday 14th July subject to agreement.
D1661 – Gordon has overhauled the troublesome No.2 end handbrake gearbox. It is seen fitted back in
position awaiting coupling up of the linkage. Rust repairs are continuing.
