Update from the 21st April. By Terry Deacon and Graham Perry

Loco testing activities were undertaken this Saturday

D9526 was taken to Bishops Lydeard and onto the Norton Branch being given several trips along the line.

A full range of engine speeds, stops, pull aways etc has proved to the team we now have a trustworthy
locomotive and it is performing very well with it's fully overhauled Paxman 6YJ engine ( ex BR class 74).
Smooth running was the order of the day now that side rod bearings have been overhauled and remetaled
care of our friends in West Somerset Restorations a fine job all round.

Pictures show 9526 under the shelter at Westridge/Bishops Lydeard for a quick inspection under frame after
test running.

Graham has also sent some pictures showing the test convoy being formed up, which also included D6566,
D6575 and D7018.
